Asian Studies Institute Hosting Virtual Event Tonight on U.S. China Policy

The University of Toledo’s Asian Studies Institute is hosting a virtual town hall today titled “The First 100 Days: President Trump’s China Policy,” featuring a faculty members and national experts.

The event is hosted by Dr. An Chung Cheng, chair of the Department of World Languages and Cultures and director of the Asian Studies Institute in the College of Arts and Letters, and will feature Dr. Paul Hong, a Distinguished University Professor in the John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation, and Dr. Qun Wang, an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, as well as Ryan Hass from Brookings Institution, Matthew Turpin from Hoover Institution and Lingling Wei from the Wall Street Journal.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom with online registration required.

The event is part of the University’s celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
