Toledo’s Marko Galic, Matias Olivero, and Pawit Sornlaksup were named to the 22-man Academic All-MAC Men’s Tennis squad, the Mid-American Conference office announced this week.
Sornlaksup is receiving the honor for a second time, while Galic and Olivero are being honored for the first time.
The 2024 MAC Player of the Year, Sornlaksup received MAC Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week on Nov. 8, after going undefeated in singles and doubles play at the MAC Indoors tournament.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete not in their first season of competition must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50% of the contests for that particular sport.
