ParkUToledo is renovating campus parking areas throughout the summer beginning Wednesday, June 1, with repaving and repairing potholes and removing parking bollards in parking area 1N by McMaster Hall on Main Campus.
“The ParkUToledo team is excited for the improvements to area 1N,” said Sherri Kaspar, executive director of ParkUToledo. “We’re removing all of the parking bollards and leveling the area for a more functional parking experience.”
All permit holders who typically park in area 1N are encouraged to park in areas 1S and 2 and should continue to park in the spots designated for their specific permit.
The 1N area is expected to reopen in early July.
Other renovations by ParkUToledo this summer include:
• Area 14, between MacKinnon Hall and Memorial Field House on Main Campus. A small repaving project tentatively beginning in mid-June that should take about two weeks to complete;
• Area 42A, along Hospital Drive on Health Science Campus. The repaving and restriping project is tentatively starting in July;
• Area 44, by the Collier Building on HSC. The repairing and repaving project will be completed in two phases beginning in late June or in early July; and,
• Area 48, by the Ruppert Health Center on HSC. The repairing and repaving renovations will be completed in three phases – with the goal of fitting the renovation in this calendar year.
Ongoing renovations to Area 26, next to the University Health Center on Main Campus, continue with repaving and fixing storm water and drainage lines to industry standards. The project will be completed before fall semester.
