The three-time reigning Mid-American Conference West Division Champion Toledo women’s basketball team will host a series of camps this summer in Savage Arena.

The Rockets are slated to put on a handful of sessions of camps during the month of June and one at the end of July for kids in kindergarten through 12th grade.

The first series of camps offered will be the Cullop’s Kids Camp for children entering kindergarten through fourth grade and kids entering fifth- through eighth-grade Monday and Tuesday, June 25-26, or Wednesday and Thursday June 27-28.

There also will be
a session for kids entering kindergarten through eighth-grade Tuesday through Thursday, July 31-Aug. 2.

The purpose of these camps is to learn fundamental skills, play games, compete in contests and have fun interacting with Rocket players and staff.

The fee is $50 for the camps in June, and $75 for the one in July.

Toledo also will hold a Shooting Camp for kids entering sixth- through 12th-grade Monday and Tuesday, June 25-26. In this camp, kids will receive technical shooting tips, written shooting evaluations, and a video breakdown of their shot. The fee is $75.

Two days later, the 2011 WNIT Champions will put on a Post/Perimeter Camp for kids entering sixth- though 12th-grade Wednesday and Thursday, June 27-28. Campers will learn specific one-on-one moves, gain a better understanding of their positions, and work with UT’s all-conference perimeter/post players and coaches. The fee is $75.

Two-time MAC Coach of the Year Tricia Cullop and the Rockets also will host a Team Camp Thursday, June 14; Saturday, June 16; Friday, June 29; and Saturday, June 30. In the team camp, squads are guaranteed four games per day, and the competition will be tailored to their level. Both varsity and junior varsity teams are encouraged to participate. The fee is $285 per team.
