The south portion of Area 44 near the Collier Building on The University of Toledo’s Health Science Campus is closed for repaving and repairs.
Phase one of the parking lot’s renovation began Sunday, June 12, and is expected to be completed in July.
Permit holders are encouraged to park in either the open section in the north portion of Area 44 or Area 43, where their permits allow. Spaces marked with yellow or gold markings are reserved for faculty and staff.
Phase two of the renovations is tentatively scheduled to begin Thursday, July 7.
During the second phase of construction, the south side of the surface lot will reopen, while the north section closes. Ravine Drive also will be closed during phase two.
During phase two, permit holders that typically park in Area 44 are encouraged to park in either the reopened section in the south portion of Area 44 or Area 43, where their permits allow.
“Weather permitting, the improvements to Area 44 should be completed in early August,” said Sherri Kaspar, executive director of ParkUToledo. “The ParkUToledo team is thrilled to continue upgrading the parking surfaces on campus this summer.”
