While COVID-19 continues to get most of the attention, other viruses continue to circulate among children and young adults.

In the latest episode of Prescribed Listening, Dr. Deepa Mukundan answers common questions about RSV, a common respiratory virus that can be particularly rough on infants and toddlers, and HPV, a sexually transmitted disease that’s associated with cervical cancer.

Mukundan, a pediatric infectious disease specialist and professor of pediatrics at The University of Toledo, also discusses a recent, unexplained worldwide hepatitis outbreak among children and the importance of childhood vaccinations.

Prescribed Listening, a podcast from The University of Toledo Medical Center, dives into some of the internet’s most frequently searched heath questions.

New episodes featuring UTMC experts answering other popular health questions will be released each Friday over the next several weeks.
