In recognition of the dedication of its employees, The University of Toledo included a salary increase for non-bargaining employees in the budget for the new fiscal year.

“Our hard-working employees are essential to UToledo’s continued success,” UToledo President Gregory Postel said. “During this challenging time for higher education, I am confident that the strong team at UToledo will achieve our goals to strategically prioritize operations as we successfully implement our strategic plan, UToledo Reimagined.”

Those eligible for the 2% wage increase are members of the Professional Staff Association and faculty who are not part of a bargaining unit. Compensation for UToledo employees who are union members is determined by their collective bargaining agreements.

The wage increase will be effective July 29 for full-time and part-time non-union employees who were hired before Jan. 1, 2023, and who have not had any changes to their position that resulted in a salary increase after that date. These employees are in classified exempt, classified salaried and unclassified administrative and professional roles.
