The University of Toledo women’s golf program placed five student-athletes on the Academic All-MAC team, the league office recently announced. The Rockets’ total of five recipients are tied for third in the MAC, one behind Akron and Northern Illinois.

Junior Amelia Lee was honored for a second time, while sophomores Macy Hanus, Angel Hii, Cheryl Hong and Kaitlyn Natividad received the honor for the first time.

Hii paced the Rockets with a 3.97 grade point average, with Hanus and Lee each registering a 3.91 GPA. During the 2021-22 academic year, the women’s golf program posted a 3.589 GPA in the fall semester and a 3.521 GPA in the spring semester.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
