Baseball players chosen for Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League All-Star Game

Senior right-handed pitcher Alex Radon and junior outfielder Tyler Grogg have been selected to play in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League All-Star Game.

The mid-summer classic will take place at the Great American Ball Park, home of the Cincinnati Reds, Wednesday, July 13. The first pitch is slated for 6 p.m.

A member of the Lake Erie Monarchs, Radon has tallied a 2-1 record on the mound with a league best 1.04 ERA in five appearances (four starts). He has accumulated 26.0 innings of work, allowing 12 runs (three earned) on 18 hits with 20 strikeouts.

A member of the Southern Ohio Copperheads, Grogg is hitting .377 (23 for 61) with 18 runs scored, one double and five RBI. He has appeared in 23 games and tallied nine stolen bases. Grogg currently ranks second in the league in batting average, tied for fifth in thefts, and tied for eighth in runs scored.
