The winner of the Music Fest 2012 local band challenge is — drum roll, please — The Dumb Easies!
The Bowling Green-based band will play at this year’s Music Fest, which will take place Friday, Sept. 14, from 3 p.m. to midnight. The group will take the stage at 3 p.m. and perform some of its original music, which band members playfully call “tortured pop with a cherry on top.”
The contest began June 18; video submissions had to be posted on the Music Fest Facebook page by June 27.
Voting began on the top eight bands July 1 and ended July 14, and The Dumb Easies came out on top. Not only will the group get to perform in front of a huge crowd, the band also wins $750.
