The University of Toledo Athletics Department has announced the launch of a brand-new Beer Garden experience for Rocket football home games as well as the release of single-game ticket sales to the public on Thursday, July 18.
The Beer Garden marks the next step in Toledo’s commitment to enhance the fan experience, with a festive atmosphere to enjoy the pre-game excitement with fellow Rocket fans. Tickets for the Beer Garden are $35 and include a game ticket on the east sideline, two drink vouchers and a $5 food voucher.
“Our goal is to provide our fans with the best possible game day experience,” said Deputy Athletic Director Al Tomlinson. “We made significant improvements to our tailgate environment and in-game presentation last season, and after more conversations with our fans, the Beer Garden was identified as one of the desired additions. We have an incredible schedule this year, and I’m excited for our fans to experience all the enhancements we’ve made throughout the season.”
The Beer Garden will be located on the south side of Lot 10. The lot also will have a live band for each Saturday game and big-screen TV, promotions which were introduced for the 2023 season.
The Rockets will host six home games in the Glass Bowl in 2024, beginning with the “Biggest Party in Toledo” for the season opener against Duquesne on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 7:30 p.m. Toledo also will have home games against UMass on Sept. 7, Homecoming vs. Miami on Oct. 5, the Battle of I-75 vs. Bowling Green on Oct. 26 and weeknight matchups with Central Michigan Nov. 12 and Ohio on Nov. 20.
Toledo is coming off an 11-3 season in 2023, which featured an 11-game winning streak, a second-straight MAC Championship Game appearance and a trip to the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl. Toledo returns six All-MAC selections in 2024, including first-team safety Maxen Hook, wide receiver Jerjuan Newton and running back Jacquez Stuart.
Fans can book their Beer Garden experience and purchase their single-game tickets online at UTRockets.com, visiting the ticket office at Savage Arena, or by calling 419-530-GOLD (4653). Season tickets and three-game mini plans are also available for the 2024 season.
