The University of Toledo and Domino’s Pizza announced a partnership today that will make Domino’s the official pizza of Rocket Athletics.
Domino’s Pizza will be available at all Rocket home athletic events at the Glass Bowl and Savage Arena, beginning with the 2019 football season.
“Through the hard work of Rocket Sports Properties, a division of Learfield IMG College, The University of Toledo Athletic Department is thrilled to announce that Domino’s will be the new official pizza of the Rockets,” said UToledo Deputy Athletic Director Dave Nottke. “Adding an iconic brand such as Domino’s to our concession offerings will continue to enhance the fan experience at our home events.”
“Domino’s, the No. 1 brand in pizza, is excited to have been given the opportunity to partner with The University of Toledo athletic programs,” said Brian Edler, an owner of more than a dozen Domino’s franchises in Ohio, including one located on the UToledo Main Campus in the Gateway. “Domino’s looks forward to a long relationship, adding fun memories to student life at UToledo. We’d like to wish all the Rocket athletic teams and students the best of luck during the upcoming school year.”
Founded in 1960, Domino’s is an American multinational pizza restaurant chain. The corporation is headquartered at the Domino’s Farms Office Park in Ann Arbor, Mich., and has franchises in 84 countries with more than 15,000 stores.
The Rockets will open the 2019 home football season Saturday, Sept. 14, in a 7 p.m. game vs. Murray State.
