The University of Toledo campus community is asked to help in welcoming new and returning Rockets on move-in days, Wednesday-Friday, Aug. 20-22, by volunteering to be part of the Rocket Welcome Crew.
The Rocket Welcome Crew is made up of friendly and energetic student, faculty and staff volunteers who will help create a warm, supportive impression for the new and returning Rockets.
This includes:
• Greeting new students and families with a smile;
• Helping unload cars and carry items into residence halls;
• Answering questions and offer directions; and
• Setting the tone for an unforgettable first day on campus.
All volunteers will receive a free Rocket Welcome Crew T-shirt in addition to being part of an incredible campus tradition. Students living in University Housing who volunteer to be part of the Rocket Welcome Crew may move into their residence hall early, Monday, Aug. 18, for no additional cost.
Volunteers must:
• Complete this online Rocket Welcome Crew sign-up form;
• Attend a brief orientation on Tuesday, Aug 19, at 3 p.m. or 6 p.m.;
• Arrive 5 minutes before your shift begins;
• Wear your Rocket Welcome Crew T-shirt to your shift; and
• Show up ready to work hard and spread Rocket pride.
