Octavio Delao, a worker with the Spieker Company, pounds a stake for a concrete form Thursday morning on the new academic quadrangle on The University of Toledo’s engineering campus following the removal of Palmer Hall in July.
Also in July, the University broke ground on a new pedestrian bridge to span approximately 79 feet over Douglas Road that will more directly connect the University’s engineering and Main campuses.
Among other construction projects completed over the summer were classroom renovations in the Memorial Field House, University Hall and Collier Building, updates to President’s Hall including new furniture in the living spaces, and restroom renovations and an elevator replacement in Thompson Student Union.
