The University of Toledo Alumni Association is inviting Rockets everywhere to get moving this fall by participating in the sixth annual Rocket Run Virtual 5K, taking place Sunday, Oct. 4, through Sunday, Oct. 11.
Open to all alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends of the University, the virtual event gives participants the flexibility to complete a 5K on their own schedule and from virtually anywhere. Whether you choose to run, walk or jog, the Rocket Run Virtual 5K is an opportunity to stay active, connect with the UToledo community and show your Rocket pride.
“We’re excited to bring the Rocket community together once again through this virtual tradition,” said Preston Ramsey, assistant director of alumni engagement at the UToledo Alumni Association. “No matter where you live, the Rocket Run Virtual 5K is a fun way to stay active, reconnect with fellow Rockets and represent The University of Toledo.”
Participants can choose from two registration options.
The $30 Rocket Package includes registration, a commemorative Rocket Run T-shirt and a printable run bib.
For those who want to participate without receiving event merchandise, the Gold Package is available for $10 and includes registration and a printable race bib.
To receive materials before the event begins, participants should register by Thursday, Aug. 27. Swag for registrations received after Aug. 27 will be shipped after Homecoming.

Whether you’re striving for a personal best, enjoying a walk with family or friends, or simply looking for a reason to get outside, every participant plays a role in celebrating the Rocket community.
Online registration is now open. Those interested in participating are encouraged to sign up early to guarantee delivery of swag.
