Women’s Cross Country Earns No. 4 Ranking in Great Lakes Region

The Toledo women’s cross country team is ranked No. 4 in the Great Lakes Region, according to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) preseason rankings.

The Rockets are the highest-ranked Mid-American Conference program in the region and trail only Notre Dame, Michigan State and Wisconsin in the poll. The three-time MAC Champions completed the 2023 Great Lakes Regional with an eighth place-team finish, which secured a final ranking of No. 8 in the Great Lakes Region.

Toledo’s men and women’s cross country teams begin the 2024 season on Friday, Aug. 30, when they compete in the Tommy Evans Invitational hosted by the University of Akron in Norton.
