UToledo Ranked Among Best Colleges by U.S. News

The University of Toledo is one of the best colleges in the country, according to the latest rankings from U.S. News and World Report.

UToledo moved up five spots in the 2024 Best Colleges rankings after being recognized last year for the first time among ranked schools. UToledo is ranked 280 out of 436 participating universities.

UToledo moved up five spots to 280 in the 2024 Best Colleges rankings after being recognized last year for the first time among ranked schools.

“We are proud to see our efforts to support student success, deliver innovative academic programs and advance groundbreaking research recognized in the latest U.S. News rankings,” UToledo President Gregory Postel said. “We know that students have choices when it comes to their college education and achieving national rankings is a great way for us to highlight the advantages of a UToledo degree.”

UToledo’s performance in several student success metrics contributed to its climb on the Best Colleges list, including positive average six-year graduation rate, student-to-faculty ratio and average indebtedness of graduates. UToledo also scored high in research citations and publications.

Recognized as a Top Public School, UToledo is ranked 151 out of 227 public universities. The University also is ranked as a Top Performer on Social Mobility, which measures how well schools graduate students who received federal Pell Grants. And UToledo is listed as an A-Plus School for B Students.

There are 15 schools tied for the 280th ranking, including Bowling Green State University.

A number of specific academic programs also are included in the U.S. News rankings. UToledo is ranked among the best undergraduate programs in business, computer science, engineering, nursing and psychology.
