Today representatives from The University of Toledo Medical Center and other health-care professionals will partner with WGTE Public Media to discuss the importance of education and the many opportunities in health care for students across northwest Ohio.

WGTE will provide a free, live broadcast to knowledgestream.org where students from all over northwest Ohio can watch the forum beginning at 10:30 a.m. The students also will be able to use an interactive tool to ask questions online and participate in the discussion.

About 30 science, technology, engineering, math and medicine (STEMM) students from The University of Toledo will be in the audience and have the opportunity to ask the panel questions in person.

The panelists will include Randy Oostra, president and chief executive officer of ProMedica; Dr. Jerome Pecko, superintendent of Toledo Public Schools; Dr. Jeffrey Docking, president of Adrian College; Dr. Janet Robinson, interim president of Lourdes University; Cathy Ford, vice dean for the School of Health Sciences at Owens Community College; and Dr. Timothy Gaspar, dean of the UT College of Nursing.

After a brief discussion about opportunities in the medical field, the forum will be open to students in the audience and online for questions. The event will take place at WGTE on South Detroit Avenue in Toledo.
