University Holds Active Aggressor, Mass Casualty Training

The University of Toledo held a training exercise from 7 to 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, to test the University’s response to a violent intruder and mass casualty incident on campus.

The announced drill tested the UToledo Police Department’s response to an active shooter on Health Science Campus and The University of Toledo Medical Center Emergency Department’s response to a large influx of critically wounded patients.

Participants in the training exercise also included Health Science Campus Security, as well as nursing administrative and clinical staff.
