The University of Toledo Medical Center’s new 30-second television commercial will air in the Toledo media market beginning today to build on its “Open For You” campaign.
Featuring Dr. Basil Akpunonu, internal medicine; Dr. David Sohn, orthopaedics; and Kelsey Cortright, radiation therapist, alongside patients from each of the clinics they represent, the spot emphasizes the hospital’s continued commitment to accessible care for the northwest Ohio community as well as the personal connection between UTMC care providers and patients.
The “Open For You” tagline was introduced in November 2020 as the region was returning to normalized operations after the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, following the announcement that UTMC would remain dedicated to providing healthcare access to the northwest Ohio community.
The television spot will be accompanied by updated print and digital brand ads and outdoor boards throughout the Toledo area. A secondary campaign that features print and digital ads and outdoor boards will be focused on building primary care practices to serve as referral sources, linking patients to UTMC’s comprehensive system of healthcare services and supports.
UTMC has prioritized increasing access to primary care to the northwest Ohio community throughout the pandemic, and primary care experts have encouraged patients to work with their provider to maintain and manage their health concerns to ensure that small problems don’t escalate into major health issues.
