The University completed the refinancing of its parking assets, and campus parking is now managed by ParkUToledo. The 35-year agreement brings an up-front $52.5 million payment to the University of Toledo Foundation plus an additional $10 million for investment in parking infrastructure on campus.
ParkUToledo also has introduced a new website for campus stakeholders and visitors. In addition to securing parking permits and paying citations, users can locate parking areas most convenient to their campus destination and access other information, including permit rates and enforcement hours. ParkUToledo staff remain on campus in the Thompson Student Union.
The University continues construction of two new surface lots to replace the east and west parking garages torn down over the summer. The west lot is expected to open following the Thanksgiving holiday. The east lot is expected to open weeks later in December, depending on weather.
