The University of Toledo will host its first Main Campus pop-up flu shot clinics of the year this week, providing faculty, staff and students another convenient option to get their annual flu vaccine.

On Monday, Oct. 11, vaccinations will be available from 8 a.m. to noon in the lobby of Stranahan Hall.

On Tuesday, Oct. 12, vaccinations will be available from 8 a.m. to noon in the lobby of the Health and Human Services Building.

Flu shots also are available on Main Campus Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from noon to 3 p.m. at the University Health Center.

The vaccines are free and appointments are not required, but individuals do need to complete a consent form, available at influenza.utoledo.edu, prior to getting their shot.

Annual influenza vaccines are required for all graduate and undergraduate students as well as employees who are not represented by a bargaining unit. Flu vaccines also are required for faculty, staff, students and volunteers at The University of Toledo Medical Center and other University clinics whose duties or positions cause them to be in patient care areas.

Proof of vaccination will be automatically uploaded for individuals who get their flu shot through the University. Students and employees who get their flu shot elsewhere will need to upload proof of vaccination through the University’s vaccine registry portal.

Proof of vaccination must be received by Dec. 1.

Those seeking an exemption for medical contraindications or sincerely held religious beliefs have until the end of the week to upload their documentation.

Exemption request forms can be downloaded and submitted through the vaccine registry portal. Requests must be received by Oct. 15.

Flu shots also are available Monday through Friday on Health Science Campus at the outpatient pharmacy in the UTMC Medical Pavilion.

More information about clinic hours and upcoming pop-up vaccination events can be accessed via influenza.utoledo.edu or by visiting the University’s informational flu preparation website.
