The University of Toledo will celebrate its transfer students with three days of campus events, Wednesday, Oct. 18, through Friday, Oct. 20, as part of National Transfer Student Week.

National Transfer Student Week, which runs from Monday, Oct. 16, through Friday, Oct. 20, is an annual event held at universities nationwide to celebrate transfer students and to raise awareness of the unique challenges and opportunities presented by transferring to a new university.

Events to celebrate National Transfer Student Week:

Wednesday, Oct. 18 — The Transfer Advantage: Leveraging Your Transfer Experience During the Job Search Process. Join us in Carlson Library Room 1005 for pizza and a discussion about how to make the most of your experience as a transfer student when applying for jobs and internships. Geoffrey Humphrys, associate director in the Shah Center for Engineering Career Development, will present and be available for questions from student across all majors.

Thursday Oct. 19 — Lawn Games. Get your game on. Join your transfer community to play cornhole, giant Jenga and other lawn games. Stick around a while to work on a UToledo chalk mural and grab a treat.

Friday Oct. 20 — Tau Sigma Interest Session. Get some snacks and learn about the only honor society at UToledo dedicated exclusively to transfer students. Tau Sigma is a great way to network with the transfer community at The University of Toledo, earn scholarships and be recognized for your academic excellence.
