While fitness typically refers to physical components — strength, aerobic capacity and flexibility — University Wellness invites UToledo employees to consider a different type of fitness: mental fitness.
The Igniting Your Mental Fitness program will focus on mental fitness strategies such as resiliency, burnout, mindfulness, change management and emotional intelligence.
“We have partnered with our Employee Assistance Program, Impact Solutions, to provide employees access to experts on these topics so they have the proper tools to ignite their mental fitness as part of their personal well-being journey,” said Andrea Masters, employee wellness consultant.
Each week will consist of a webinar focused on a specific strategy, followed with a reflection and discussion board question utilizing the online Blackboard classroom. The program will run from Tuesday, Oct. 26, through Tuesday, Nov. 30, and is available to all employees.
Registered participants who complete the requirements will be entered into a prize drawing, with 10 winners selected to receive a one-year membership to Calm, a sleep, meditation and relaxation app.
For program details and to register by Tuesday, Oct. 19, visit the employee wellness website.
