Both are free and open to the public.

“Dr. Keer Wang is a highly acclaimed pianist and educator whose performances have captivated audiences across Asia, Europe and North America,” said Dr. Jason Stumbo, an associate professor and chair of the Department of Music. “We’re thrilled to welcome her to UToledo and to continue the tradition of bringing world-class pianists to campus through the Dorothy MacKenzie Price Piano Series.”

Wang has performed for audiences across Asia, Europe and North America, earning accolades along the way at numerous international competitions. After winning the top award at the Global Outstanding Chinese Artists Association (GOCAA) International Piano Competition in 2024, she toured as a featured soloist across major cities in China.

She is a visiting assistant professor of music at Colby College in Waterville, Maine.

The Dorothy MacKenzie Price Piano Series is supported by the Dorothy MacKenzie Price Fund and the Toledo Piano Teachers Association. Named in honor of a late supporter of music programs and students at UToledo, the series brings celebrated pianists to campus twice annually for master classes and recitals.

UToledo expanded the series this spring with the Dorothy MacKenzie Price Piano Series Competition for musicians in grades nine through 12. The inaugural competition winner, Henry Shao, a senior at Sylvania Southview High School, will perform a solo recital at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, in the Center for Performing Arts Recital Hall.

Visitor parking for the master class requires payment through the ParkMobile app, a parking meter or a daily permit via ParkUToledo. Visitor parking for the recitals is free in Lot 12, excluding disability, metered and reserved spaces.
