UToledo Celebrates National Transfer Student Week Oct. 21-23

The University of Toledo will celebrate its transfer students with campus events, Wednesday, Oct. 21, through Friday, Oct. 23, as part of National Transfer Student Week.

National Transfer Student Week is an annual event held at universities nationwide to celebrate transfer students and to raise awareness of the unique challenges and opportunities presented by transferring to a new university.

Events to celebrate National Transfer Student Week:

• Wednesday, Oct. 21, Transfer Week Swag Swap — 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Thompson Student Union Room 2518. Transfer students: Start National Transfer Student Week off by trading any item from your previous college in for a UToledo T-shirt. Stop by the Center for Advocacy and Student Experience (CASE) office to make the swap. Shirts are limited and are first come, first served.
• Thursday, Oct. 22, Transfer Week Hot Cocoa Bar — 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Thompson Student Union Room.
• Friday, Oct. 23, Transfer Week Meet and Greet — noon to 1 p.m. in Thompson Student Union Room 2561. Meet fellow transfer students, win door prizes and learn about opportunities to get involved with the transfer community at UToledo.

And for the second consecutive year, UToledo was recognized by national transfer student honor society Phi Theta Kappa and its 2026 Transfer Honor Roll in recognition of the dynamic pathways they have created to support transfer students.

The PTK Transfer Honor Roll recognizes institutions based on success rates, campus friendliness and sense of belonging, availability of need- and merit-based financial aid, acceptance of transfer credits toward a four-year degree program and recruitment experience and campus life for transfers.
