The Office of Residence Life is accepting applications for resident assistant positions for the 2022-23 academic year. To apply, students must attend an information session, apply on Invonet and Handshake and submit two references.

The position provides transferable career skills including crisis response, community building, teamwork and leadership.

Shannon Grobelny, a disability studies senior in her second year as a resident assistant in McComas Village, said serving as a “role model” for her peers has been a rewarding experience.

“I love celebrating my residents’ successes and of course supporting them through difficult times. I couldn’t imagine my college experience without being a part of residence life,” Grobelny said.

“I have gained such a desire to understand others and the importance of transparency. The skills I’ve learned as an RA will be with me forever, encouraging me to become a better leader every day.”
