The University of Toledo Office of Finance and Administration has made several organizational changes, including a move to more closely align Auxiliary Services functions to host more events on campus for students as well as for the broader community.

Mike Dennis, senior associate vice president for finance and treasurer, will now also oversee Auxiliary Services, which includes the residence halls, Thompson Student Union, Recreational Services, parking and dining.

Among Dennis’ responsibilities will be chairing the University’s new Destination Group, which is tasked with increasing community activity on campus. Efforts will include streamlining event planning processes and recruiting additional community educational and recreational events to take place in UToledo facilities.

Bethany Ziviski also has been named senior associate vice president and chief human resources officer after previously leading human resources on an interim basis. Ziviski, who holds a juris doctorate from UToledo, has been an HR leader at the University since 2021 and previously had been member of the team from 2017 to 2019. Ziviski also has experience managing human resources for Toledo Refining Co. and ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.

Other changes include Sabrina Taylor moving to a new role as associate vice president for finance and Lena Carroll is now associate vice president for financial planning and budget.

Taylor was previously associate vice president for financial planning and budget. Carroll had served as director of financial analysis, planning and budget before moving into the position vacated by Taylor.

UToledo also recently added Sheri Copanic as associate vice president for risk management and chief risk officer. Copanic, who has 20 years of experience in strategic compliance and risk management, joined UToledo from NexCore Group, a Denver-based healthcare real estate company.
