The Center for International Studies and Programs brings together American families and international students every year to celebrate Thanksgiving as part of the campus internationalization efforts.
American families can open their homes to share a meal with international students on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28, or on another date that they will host a Thanksgiving dinner.
“Imagine the stories and experiences that can be shared around the dinner table, enriching the holiday for everyone involved in ways you might not expect. It’s a beautiful way to foster understanding and friendship while introducing someone to the warmth of your family’s traditions,” said Xinren Yu, director of the Center for International Studies and Programs.” Let’s come together to make this Thanksgiving a memorable one for all!”
Host families are asked to register online at the CISP application webpage by the Friday, Nov. 15, deadline.
International students or scholars who would like to join an American family for this holiday celebration, should complete the online International Guest Application on the CISP webpage by the Friday, Nov. 15, deadline as well.
Pairing results will be emailed no later than Wednesday, Nov. 20.
