The Center for International Studies and Programs will celebrate International Education Week, Monday, Nov. 13, through Friday, Nov. 17, with more than 20 events.

“International Education Week is not only an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide but also a great opportunity for people to learn about other countries and cultures,” said Xinren Yu, assistant director of the Center for International Studies and Programs.

Several offices and organizations joined CISP to celebrate this year’s international education week program: the Division of Student Affairs, Starbucks, Carlson Library, Toledo Lucas County Main Library, Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women, Residence Life, University Counseling Center, Department of World Languages and Cultures, Office of Competitive Fellowships and the International Student Association.

“There will be plenty of fun, academic opportunities for students, faculty and staff. These include an international photo contest, an international food challenge, a cultural experience at the International Village, explore countries series, an international scavenger hunt, ethnic name pronunciation tips and writing your name in other languages session and many more,” Yu said. “This annual initiative aims to promote international understanding and build support for international educational exchange. We are honored to share our different cultures and experiences to bring that unique diversity to UToledo. Our goal is to give every Rocket an international experience.”
