The University of Toledo Department of Theatre and Film is hosting auditions next week for its spring production of the musical “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.”

Auditions are open to all UToledo students and community members from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 15 and 16, in the Center for Performing Arts. Sign-up sheets and audition forms will be posted on the window of the Department of Theatre and Film Office in the Center for Performing Arts.

Auditionees are invited to prepare a 60-second monologue from a contemporary play and a 16-bar musical selection. An accompanist will be provided but auditionees are asked to bring their own sheet music. Those who audition may sing a cappella during the 10-minute audition appointment but may be asked to work with an accompanist.

Singing and dance call backs are scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17.
