The Center for International Studies and Programs will celebrate International Education Week, Monday, Nov. 17, through Friday, Nov. 21, with various events hosted by different offices on campus.
“International Education Week (IEW) is a great opportunity for students, faculty and staff to learn about other cultures, traditions, worldviews, as well as resources available to them at UToledo for an international experience,” said Xinren Yu, director of the Center for International Studies and Programs.
“This year, there will be an international education expo, a lecture by the Consul General from the Consulate-General of Japan in Detroit, a global networking skills training with the Rocket Career Center, a cultural food experience at the International Village, a holidays around the world event at the Presidents Hall, special drink and food menus at Starbucks, Frogtown and other retail restaurants, and many more,” Yu said.
IEW aims to promote international understanding and build support for international educational exchange. We would like our Rockets to have the power to connect with the world.

International Education Week celebrates diversity of voices and the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of their efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences in the United States.
