Update: The boil advisory for Health Science Campus was lifted at 4 p.m. on Thursday.

The University of Toledo Health Science Campus remains under a boil advisory Thursday.

Individuals should not drink from taps or water fountains on Health Science Campus and should not consume ice from ice makers until further notice.

Tap water may be used for washing hands.

The City of Toledo Department of Public Utilities issued the advisory early Wednesday afternoon for several parts of the city, including the area roughly bordered by South Byrne Road, Glendale Avenue and the Anthony Wayne Trail.

UTMC continues to maintain normal operations with no disruption to patient care.

The University will provide updates on the advisory as they become available.

Go to the city’s website to read the full advisory, including steps to take before using tap water to cook, drink, wash dishes, brush teeth or make formula.
