Continuing a long-standing tradition, members of The University of Toledo community are invited to participate in an annual holiday season giving program through the Salvation Army.
This year’s program, the Angel Tree Project, aims to provide toys, books and gifts to local children in need and students, student organizations, faculty, staff, colleges, departments and offices are encouraged to help and be involved.
To participate, either fill out this online form if you would like to be matched with one of the Angels we are sponsoring or visit the Office of Student Engagement in Thompson Student Union Room 1532 and drop off any general gifts you wish to donate, starting Nov. 15. Gifts should be purchased and returned unwrapped to the Office of Student Engagement by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6.
If an office or department would like to feature a donation box in their space, please email the Office of Student Engagement.
Donations also will be accepted at the President’s Thanksgiving Lunch, scheduled Nov. 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Thompson Student Union Auditorium.
Once all gifts have been collected, they will be returned to the Salvation Army’s Toy Shop, where local families can pick up gifts for their children.
