Six Members of Women’s Soccer Selected Academic All-District Honorees

Six members of The University of Toledo women’s soccer team were selected to the 2022 Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Communicators on Wednesday.

Ashton Cassel, Emily Mann, Madison Medalle, Rylee Michaels, Morgan Otteson and Adele Stradling were recognized for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom.

To qualify for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5, play in at least 50% of the team’s contests and be a significant contributor on the field. Honorees will now appear on the Academic All-America ballot, with results to be released on Dec. 3.

Cassel, a senior midfielder, holds a 3.95 GPA while pursuing a degree in nursing.

Mann, a junior midfielder, maintains a 3.56 GPA in pursuit of a business degree.

Medalle, a junior forward, has a 3.93 GPA while pursuing a degree in psychology.

Michaels, a senior defender, is pursuing a degree in professional sales and has a 3.89 GPA.

Otteson, a graduate student forward, holds a 4.0 GPA while pursuing her master’s degree in business administration.

Stradling, a junior defender, is a university studies major with a 3.60 GPA.
