Nominations Open for Tower of Excellence Award and Donald S. Parks Student Organization Awards

Nominations are now open for the Tower of Excellence Award and the Donald S. Parks Student Organization Awards, recognizing student leadership, service and achievement.

The Tower of Excellence Award honors graduating seniors who have made a lasting impact on The University of Toledo community through outstanding academics, leadership and service. This prestigious recognition celebrates students who embody UToledo’s core values and leave a legacy of excellence both on and off campus. Recipients will be announced at the Donald S. Parks Award Ceremony on Tuesday, April 14.

The six UToledo students who each received the inaugural Tower of Excellence Award, which honors graduating seniors who have made a lasting impact on The University of Toledo community through outstanding academics, leadership and service.

Six UToledo seniors were honored with the inaugural Tower of Excellence Award last spring.

“The Tower of Excellence Award is our way of celebrating the incredible contributions of our Rockets,” said Megan Stoops, program coordinator of the Office of Student Engagement and Connections. “We’re excited to highlight students who are excelling both in and out of the classroom. If you know a senior who’s gone the extra mile this year, make sure to nominate them.”

The nomination process for the Tower of Excellence includes two steps:

•  Nominations from faculty, staff or peers are due by Friday, Jan. 30, at 11:59 p.m.

•  Once nominated, eligible students will receive a link to complete an application, which is required for full consideration. To qualify, students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and be on track to graduate in spring 2026, summer 2026 or fall 2026.

The Donald S. Parks Student Organization Awards recognize the achievements of student leaders, organizations and advisors who have made significant contributions to campus life at The University of Toledo. These awards highlight excellence in leadership, academics, service and community engagement across the UToledo student body. Nominations for all Donald S. Parks Awards are due by Sunday, Feb. 22, at 11:59 p.m.

Both award programs reflect the University’s commitment to celebrating students who make campus a more engaged, inclusive and spirited community.
