The University of Toledo Ritter Planetarium will explore constellations and celestial navigation through a Christmas-themed program in December.
“Santa’s Secret Star” follows reindeer Rudolph as he introduces Santa Claus and his crew to constellations that help them to navigate back to the North Pole. The children’s program will screen at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and 1 p.m. Saturdays through Dec. 20.
“Santa’s Secret Star” is an original program produced and recently updated by UToledo’s FullDome Studio, dedicated to producing and distributing full-dome programs that are scientifically accurate, pedagogically appropriate, entertaining and affordable.
Admission to planetarium shows is $8 for adults and $6 for children, senior citizens and UToledo community members. Children ages 3 and younger are free. Parking is free in Area 1N within 45 minutes of the beginning of planetarium shows.
