Toledo Selected for National Invitational Volleyball Championship

The Toledo women’s volleyball program has been selected to compete in the 2024 National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC), marking the third time in the last four seasons it has qualified for post-season play.

The Rockets (17-14) will take on DePaul (19-13) on Thursday, Dec. 5, in Chicago. First serve is set for 8 p.m. Tickets to the match can be purchased here.

The winner of Thursday’s matchup between Toledo and DePaul will face the winner of Omaha-Lindenwood on Friday, Dec. 6, in Chicago. Third-round action is set for Dec. 9-12 with the semifinals scheduled for Dec. 12-14. The championship match will occur between Dec. 15-18. All matches are held on campus sites.

Toledo earned its fourth consecutive Mid-American Conference Tournament berth this season after posting a 10-8 record in conference play, falling to Ball State in the quarterfinals.

The Rockets saw action in the 2021 and 2022 NIVC tournaments, with 2021 marking their first-ever postseason berth.

DePaul is making its second-straight NIVC tournament appearance.
