Interested singers must register for an audition here. Time slots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Singers will be expected to:

• Perform two pieces in contrasting styles. Music may be used or a cappella is acceptable. Singers must provide their own accompanist.

• Sight read in major and minor keys.

• Demonstrate rhythmic proficiency.

Singers who are selected for the ensemble will be asked to pay a $100 fee to cover costs of the accompanist and music purchases.

Rehearsals will be held weekly on Tuesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Center for Performing Arts Choral Rehearsal Room 2016. Singers who are not able to attend all rehearsals may be subject to removal from the ensemble. Absences will be excused on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the director.

The Glass City Singers will be directed by Dr. Brad Pierson, assistant professor and director of choral activities in the UT Music Department.

The ensemble will provide a choral experience of the highest quality to all singers, according to Pierson. He added the group will offer innovative performances to engage and involve the Toledo community.
