Now is the chance to get involved.
The Office of Student Involvement and Leadership is hosting its Student Involvement Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, in various locations throughout Thompson Student Union.
The goal and purpose of the event is to encourage and help students get connected to the University through opportunities that enhance their college experience.
“Our student involvement fair returns this spring and offers a glimpse into UToledo student organizations, campus departments and local campus partners,” said Ben Weiner, associate director for student involvement and engagement. “This is a perfect opportunity for students to connect and discover new opportunities for involvement.
“My advice is to bring a friend with you, wander the fair together and talk to as many tables as possible. Don’t get overwhelmed, you will have plenty of time to get through the entire involvement fair.”
The Student Involvement Fair is the first opportunity of the academic year to engage with organization members and begin thinking about how campus involvement outside of the classroom.
“UToledo offers opportunities for you to make the most of your time as a Rocket,” Weiner said. “I challenge you to push yourself out of your comfort zone and try some new things. Those new things may have an everlasting impact on your college experience.”
