Alumnus to Give Virtual Lecture on Medical Device Innovation

Dr. Ibraheem Badejo, a 1989 UToledo graduate with decades of expertise in smart materials and biomaterials, will give a virtual lecture at noon Thursday, Jan. 28, about medical device innovation, industry changes and his journey in the healthcare industry.

The hourlong lecture, part of the Department of Chemical Engineering’s Spring 2021 Virtual Seminar Series, is accessible via Webex.

Badejo’s talk will focus on the vital role medical device innovation has played in extending human lives through the delivery of essential healthcare services.

He is the senior director of new ventures and medical devices at Johnson & Johnson Innovation and serves as an adjunct professor of biomedical engineering at Drexel University.
