The University of Toledo’s graduate programs are recognized among the best in the nation, according to the 2023 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings.
“We are proud of the progress we are making advancing our academic and research excellence,” said Dr. Karen Bjorkman, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. “This is one measure of how well we are serving our students and the community and it’s great to see the quality of our programs recognized alongside top universities across the country.”
New this year, the medical primary care program in the College of Medicine and Life Sciences and the part-time MBA in the John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation are ranked.
Other ranked graduate programs include social work, psychology, nursing masters, biological sciences, physics, education, part-time law, public health, chemistry, computer science, mathematics and statistics.
The rankings are based on two types of data: expert opinion about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research and students.
The data for the rankings came from statistical surveys of programs and from reputation surveys sent to more than 23,200 academics and professionals, conducted in fall 2021 and early 2022.
