The University of Toledo Police Department and is hosting a Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 30.
One of several Lucas County events scheduled as part of National Drug Take Back Day, the UToledo collection runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the main entrance of The University of Toledo Medical Center, just off Mulford Library Circle, and in the UTMC emergency room lobby.
UTPD will provide the community a free and anonymous way to rid their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.
Expired or unused medications that will be accepted include:
• Narcotics;
• Over-the-counter medications;
• Pet medications;
• Prescriptions; and
• Vitamins.
The collection site will not accept syringes, inhalers, liquid medications, ointments or lotions.
