For many, the pandemic has been a year-and-a-half of life-altering stress.

Writer, speaker and educator Paul Wesselmann wants to help students mitigate that anxiety and tension through an hourlong pep talk about “empowering everyday leaders,” titled “Keep Going, Keep Growing: Transforming Covid Crappiness into Fertilizer for the Future.”

Sponsored by The University of Toledo Office of Student Involvement and Leadership, the event is scheduled from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, in the Thompson Student Union Auditorium and is open to all UToledo students.

For more information or to RSVP, visit the event’s Invonet site.

Wesselmann, who has degrees in psychology and higher education, is the author of two self-help books, “Ripples of Reflection: Weekly Inspirations for Unleashing Your Best Self” and “Ripples of Hope: Wisdom for Navigating Uncertainty,” and has more than 25 years of experience working with individuals and groups to increase their enjoyment and effectiveness in school, work and life.
