The hourlong webinar Empowering Faculty in a Time of Crisis: Faculty Self-Care will address the importance of faculty self-care in both their professional and personal lives during the pandemic.

The latest in the Faculty Lunch-n-Learn series, the virtual event is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, via Webex.

The webinar will include a 10-minute presentation from Vicki Riddick, manager of employee wellness, on resources available to UToledo faculty; and a half-hour discussion from Dr. Deborah Hendricks, director of the UToledo Pre-Health Advising Center, on ways to deal with stress during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Faculty Lunch-n-Learns are sponsored by the Provost’s Office and the Mid-American Conference Academic Leadership Development Program.

“While UToledo has worked diligently to support student well-being during the pandemic, the MAC fellows thought it was important to also provide self-care support to UToledo faculty for their extraordinary efforts towards students success this past year,” said Dr. Martha Sexton, associate dean of Academic Affairs and professor in the College of Nursing.
