UToledo Spring Festival of New Music March 30

The Department of Music is hosting its Spring Festival of New Music on Thursday, March 30.

The festival will explore the contributions and impact of technology on emerging music and will include an afternoon guest lecture by Brady Harrison, a solo and chamber percussion musician, who will perform in the UToledo Large Ensembles Concert that evening.

The principal timpanist for the Lexington Philharmonic and a percussionist with the Louisville Orchestra, Harrison has performed worldwide and is the Northern Kentucky Representative to the Percussive Arts Society and serves on the Technology Committee at the national level.

The lecture performance with Harrison is 1:30 p.m. in the UToledo Center for Performing Arts Recital Hall. The UToledo Large Ensembles Concert is 7 p.m. in Doermann Theatre in University Hall.

Both events are free and open to the public.
