UToledo Faculty Recognized For Tenure and Promotion

The University of Toledo Board of Trustees approved 44 faculty members for promotion and tenure at its April meeting.

There were 16 faculty members who received tenure and another 28 were promoted to professor, associate professor, assistant professor or clinical associate professor.

“We are proud to recognize our faculty leaders with tenure and promotion for their exceptional teaching, research and service, and to celebrate their important role in ensuring a strong future for The University of Toledo,” said Dr. Risa Dickson, interim provost and executive vice president for academic affairs.

The faculty members who received tenure are:

Faculty members who received tenure and promotion to professor are:

•  Neff College of Business and Innovation: Dr. Kainan Wang, Finance; Dr. Jenell Wittmer, Management; and Dr. Yue Zhang, Information, Operations and Technology Management.

•  Judith Herb College of Education: Dr. Noela Haughton, Educational Studies.

•  University Libraries: Professor Wade Lee-Smith.

•  College of Medicine and Life Sciences: Dr. Jennifer Hill, Physiology and Pharmacology; and Dr. Paul Schaefer, Family Medicine.

•  College of Natural Science and Mathematics: Dr. Rong Liu, Mathematics and Statistics; and Dr. Akaki Tikaradze, Mathematics and Statistics.

The faculty members who achieved promotion to associate professor are:
