Rocket alumni can renew their wedding vows in a special ceremony officiated by University of Toledo President Gregory Postel on Friday, Sept. 29, in front of University Hall.
Following the ceremony will be a celebratory reception including hors d’oeuvres and photo opportunities. The Rocket Romance renewal and reception event is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m.

“Many Rockets have found love and their partners at The University of Toledo,” said Sammy Spann, vice president of student affairs and dean of students. “Rocket Renewals is our way of coming together as the Rocket Family and celebrating those couples as they renew their commitment to each other and we renew our commitment to them and to The University of Toledo community, past, present and future.”
Attendance to Rocket Romance is $20 per couple and includes the renewal and reception. Each additional guest is $15 per guest. To secure a spot in the program and reception, RSVP to the Rocket Romance website by Monday, Sept. 25.
Sponsored by The University of Toledo Alumni Association, Rocket Romance is part of the University’s weeklong Homecoming 2023 celebration prior to the Rockets’ game against the Northern Illinois Huskies at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, in Glass Bowl Stadium.
Free parking will be available in Areas 1S and 1N, which is found on the UToledo Campus Parking Map. All other parking lots will be subject to ticketing without an active UToledo parking pass.
Rockets who have found love at UToledo — on-campus proposals, throwback photos of dates at UToledo events or Greek socials — are encouraged to share their stories and photos through the Rocket Romance Stories online form.
