The John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation hosts its Fall 2024 Job Fair on Thursday, Sept. 26 on the Savage Arena main concourse with nearly 500 UToledo business students expected to attend.
The Fair, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will feature than 100 employers, with recruiters from both local and national organizations scouting talent for a wide range of fields and industries. Participating companies include notable names such as Dana, Fastenal, Toyota, International Paper, Owens Illinois, Owens Corning, USDA, Marathon and CliftonLarsonAllen LLC.
“The Job Fair is a vital opportunity for our students to bridge the gap between academic learning and the professional world,” said Dr. Terribeth Gordon-Moore, senior associate dean for Undergraduate Programs and Administration at the Neff College of Business and Innovation.
“It’s not just about landing a job; it’s about gaining real-world experience, building relationships and discovering the diverse career paths available to them.”
Dr. Gordon-Moore emphasized the significance of these interactions in shaping students’ futures.
“This event is a steppingstone for students to build their confidence and competence, preparing them for successful transitions from the classroom to their chosen careers.”
The Neff College hosts job fairs twice a year — during fall and spring semesters — ensuring students have continuous access to employers eager to recruit fresh talent.
