In an exciting collaboration that underscores the University’s commitment to community engagement, the Office of Multicultural Student Success is proud to announce a partnership with Friendship Baptist Church for a special two-day celebration: Soulful Praise: Black History Month Gospel Concert. Set to take place on Saturday, Feb. 24, and Sunday, Feb. 25, this weekend event promises to be a soul-stirring experience for the Toledo community.

The festivities kick off Feb. 24 with a vibrant pop-up shop-style affair, featuring community food trucks, businesses and organizations providing an engaging experience for the Toledo community. The celebration continues the following day, Feb 25, with part two of the community food truck and pop-up shop from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. The grand finale of the Soulful Praise Gospel Concert will unfold at 5 p.m., promising an evening filled with soul-stirring gospel music performed by talented Toledo- and Detroit-area artists, including The UT Gospel Choir. This event is not only a concert but a vibrant celebration and reflection on the rich heritage during Black History Month.

Importantly, the Soulful Praise Gospel Concert is a free community event, open and welcoming to all.
